Meet Dr. Michael Kelson DDS
Dr. Michael R. Kelson graduated Summa Cum Laude from University of California Los Angeles School of Dentistry (UCLA) in 1987, and was awarded the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Award and elected to OKU National Dental Honor Society. He then completed a four-year residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in conjunction with Parkland Memorial Hospital. He has practiced oral and maxillofacial surgery exclusively for over 30 years.
Dr. Kelson is dual board certified. He is a Board Certified Diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is also Board Certified by the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology.
Dr. Kelson believes in practicing the highest possible quality of care and professional ethics. Knowing that many people have fears and apprehension about oral and maxillofacial surgery, we strive to combine the latest technology and equipment with a relaxed atmosphere to ensure a pleasant and safe experience, along with personalized treatment for each and every patient.
Best experience ever!!! Highly recommend! I called and asked a lot of questions and they were so nice every time I called. I even got a call from the doctor to make sure everything was going alright the night after surgery.
I rarely write reviews, but I truly feel like these guys all deserve it. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to me as a new patient. Dr.Kelson was straightforward, honest, friendly, and made me feel very comfortable which is saying a great deal since I am terrified of all dental work. He removed a broken wisdom tooth my lower jaw, and a broken molar on my upper jaw in a very timely manner and after I woke up I was given a soft blanket and they were very nice helping me get oriented and safely on my way when I was ready. While I hope I will not have to go back solely because that was my last wisdom tooth and I don’t need any more extractions or major work done, it is very comforting to me to know they are there if I do need them again.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Kelson. I was hesitant to use a specialist for my wisdom teeth because of what it would cost, but my husband had a bad experience with our normal dentist so I figured I’d at least look into it. Dr. Kelson’s office was actually cheaper. Go figure! That was a few years ago. I’ve seen him for a couple procedures now and have sent my mom, sister, and two of my grandparents to him. They all had awesome experiences too. It’s nice to have a go-to dentist that I actually like and trust not to scam me.
